INGREDIENTSĀ TO MAKE BUTTER CHICKEN:
- Boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut in 1" cubes) - 1 1/2 LBs
- Butter - 1 cup
- Heavy cream / half & half (optional) - 1/3 cup
- Cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- Peeled and chopped garlic - 3-4 cloves
- Salt (as per taste) - 2 to 2.5 tsp
- Flavor Temptations Butter Chicken SauceĀ (includesĀ garam masala spice pack) - 1
- Chopped cilantro (optional) - 2-3 stems
STEPS TOĀ MAKEĀ BUTTER CHICKEN MAKHANI WITH CURRY SAUCE:
- In a small bowl, mix together chicken cubes, oil, garlic, 1/2 to 1 tsp saltĀ coating chicken pieces evenly. Cover for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, melt butter, brown chicken pieces on medium heat until chicken is not pink on the inside.Ā
- Combine sauce, heavy cream, 1 to 1 1/2 tsp salt in a saucepan. Cook covered on medium heat until well blended.
- Add the garam masala powder spice packet included with Butter Chicken Sauce.
- Add chicken pieces and simmer on low heat until chicken is well cooked and reaches 165 deg internal temperature. Add a little water if sauce gets too thick.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro(optional)
SERVING SUGGESTIONS FOR BUTTER CHICKEN:
Serve hot over bed of long-grained or naan bread
