Chicken Tikka Masala is the most popular Indian dish and found in almost every restaurant in the United Kingdom!
Prep time: 15 mins; Cook time: 15-20 mins; Serves 4-6
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA:
- Boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut in 1" cubes) - 1 LB
- Plain whole milk yogurt - 1/3 cup
- Heavy cream / half & half (optional) - 2/3 cup
- Lime juice - 1.5 Tbsp
- Cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- Peeled and chopped garlic - 3-4 cloves
- Salt (as per taste) - 1.5 to 2.5 tsp
- Flavor Temptations Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce - 1
- Chopped cilantro (optional) - 2-3 stems
STEPS TO MAKE CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA WITH CURRY SAUCE:
- Marinate chicken cubes with ½ Tbsp oil, yogurt, garlic, 1 tsp salt and lime juice.
- In skillet, heat 1 ½ Tbsp oil, brown chicken pieces on medium heat until just cooked.
- Cook sauce, heavy cream, 1-1½ tsp salt on medium heat until well blended.
- Add chicken cubes, cook until Chicken reaches 165 deg internal temp. Add little water if sauce is too thick.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice / naan bread.
SERVING SUGGESTION FOR CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA:
Serve hot over bed of long-grained or naan bread
