INGREDIENTS TO MAKE VEGAN CHANA MASALA CURRY:
- 15oz. Canned chick peas (garbanzo beans) - 1
- Salt (as per taste) - 1 tsp
- Flavor Temptations Indian Curry Sauce - 1
- Chopped cilantro (optional) - 2-3 stems
STEPS TO MAKE CHANA MASALA WITH CURRY SAUCE:
- Drain some of the broth, keeping just enough to cover chickpeas.
- In a saucepan, combine masala sauce, chickpeas and salt.
- Cook covered on medium heat for 15-20 minutes until beans are soft. Mash some of the beans to thicken sauce if needed.
- Uncover, simmer on low heat for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens to salsa consistency.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro (optional).
SERVING SUGGESTIONS FOR CHOLE MASALA:
Serve hot over bed of long-grained or naan bread.
